I was getting ready to take my husband to the hospital for a procedure. I heard

about the first plane on the radio and turned on the television in time to see the second plane

crash into the second tower. Surreal describes it very well.

Our world will never be

the same, will it.

I was getting ready to leave

for work, but wanted to catch the scores from the previous eveneing's baseball games. When I

turned on the TV, I saw the smoke from the first tower. Then I saw on the second plane hit

live. That's when everyone went "Uh ohh....."

Saw it on tv. It was surreal.

You just can't believe it's happening. I live in a major city and I just remember the fear

from wondering if another one was heading our way. Feeling like there was nowhere to hide.

My young daughters were told at

school that the twin towers had been destroyed. When they came home, they were mightily

confused - the two water towers standing in the field at the end of our garden were still

standing.
