		<description>When I first moved to France I was so impressed by how few plastic bags there were 

at grocery stores, etc.  If they did have them, you had to pay for them, so everyone was 

encouraged to reuse bags or bring their own basket.  But, in less than three years, now almost 

all the grocery stores offer plastic for free :(  Fortunately, as you&#039;ve probably noticed, 

most people here still carry a basket or cloth bag, but I fear it will soon be as bad as most 

other places.  Maybe people should have more access to the information/links you presented

		<description>It&#039;s all about getting people to realise that they can and do make a 

difference, one choice at a time. I am encouraged that where we are in BC, so many people bring 

their own bags to stores or don&#039;t bother getting a bag at all. It all counts.</description>
