		<description>They did not have something on paper with which to match his offer of payment.

Therefore, he represented an annoyance. More and more, our world consists of &quot;talking heads&quot;

(the first line of defense of most companies).

Recently I tried to upgrade our phone

service with ATT&amp;T. I wanted unlimited long distance. I signed up on line to get their

internet special. I unsubscribed from the long distance service we were previously using.

ATT&amp;T&#039;s service never kicked in. I called and after being connected to the FIFTH

representative, I was told would cost $10 more per month if a live person did the sign up. They

suggested signing up on line to save $10 a month. Their web site would not allow me to sign

up(???).
I quit and begged forgiveness and reinstatement from my former long distance

carrier.

God Bless America and ATT&amp;T

		<description>How bizarre - why would people be rude when someone is offering them money? Oh

well, I guess his honesty was rewarded with the free stereo. :-)</description>

		<description>Years ago, my dad bought a stereo from a department store. He was never billed for

it. Being painfully honest, he called and called the store&#039;s billing department. He finally

went down to the store and they were borderline rude to him. They said he must be mistaken;

there was nothing due on his account. I finally convinced him to just listen to the music and

let it go.

		<description>Gee...I wish mistakes like that would happen to me. Best I ever did was

an extra 20. at the ATM one night....I was hoping it would keep going but no luck. LOL.
