Chilean Lake District

After docking in Puerto Montt, we boarded a bus for a 90-minute drive with spectacular views of mountains and lakes.

Our destination was Vicente Perez Rosales National Park and our first activity was its Lago Todos Los Saltos (“All the Waterfalls Lake”), also known as Lago Esmeralda (“Emerald Lake”), where we boarded a boat for a 45-minute cruise.

Then we drove a short distance to Saltos del Rio Petrohue Park, where we wandered along earthen and wooden paths, admiring the mountains and waterfalls. Truly amazing.
