{"id":818,"date":"2010-08-07T15:00:55","date_gmt":"2010-08-07T13:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/blog\/?p=818"},"modified":"2023-05-17T17:42:40","modified_gmt":"2023-05-17T21:42:40","slug":"6-corners-of-the-hexagon-week-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/blog\/6-corners-of-the-hexagon-week-3\/","title":{"rendered":"6 corners of the Hexagon: Week\u00a03"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawlessfrench.com\/reading\/strasbourg\/\">Strasbourg<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawlessfrench.com\/reading\/bastille-day\/\">Bastille Day<\/a>, we also visited the terrific <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musees-strasbourg.org\/index.php?page=musee-alsacien\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mus\u00e9e alsacien<\/a> and had dinner at our favorite restaurant in Strasbourg: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poelesdecarottes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Po\u00eales de Carottes<\/a>. One of the employees (owners?) can be a little grouchy, but the food is terrific.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/images\/annecy-lac.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/images\/annecy-lacs.jpg\" alt=\"Lac d'Annecy\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\"><\/a>On the 15th we headed south from Strasbourg to retrieve the wallet in Annecy &#8211; more than 4 hours each way. To make the most of the trip, we rented another paddleboat and spent two glorious hours out on Lake Annecy. We also found a terrific fromager and stocked up on our favorite cheeses plus some local specialities.<\/p>\n<p>Coming home, we stopped in Ribeauvill\u00e9 in hopes of buying more of the wine we&#8217;d liked best during our d\u00e9gustations the week before, but we were 45 minutes too late &#8211; everything had closed at 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>Niederbronn&#8217;s weekly march\u00e9, held every Friday, was a little disappointing, as it is mostly clothing, with only a few food stands. (The one in the nearby town of Reichshoffen, on Thursdays, is much bigger and better.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/images\/myrtilles.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/images\/myrtilless.jpg\" alt=\"F\u00eate de la myrtille\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\"><\/a>On Sunday, we went to la <a href=\"http:\/\/sitemap.dna.fr\/articles\/201007\/17\/la-baie-bleue-des-vosges,haguenau,000008085.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F\u00eate de la myrtille<\/a> in Dambach, bought a bunch of blueberries, and tasted blueberry wine, beer, and jam.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lklawless.com\/blog\/archives\/790\">About <i>6 corners of the Hexagon<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While in Strasbourg for Bastille Day, we also visited the terrific Mus\u00e9e alsacien and had dinner at our favorite restaurant in Strasbourg: Po\u00eales de Carottes.
